HUME LAKE FIRE & RESCUE 

Welcome to the Hume Lake Fire & Rescue website.

The Hume Lake Fire & Rescue Department is an all volunteer organization. With over 25 firefighters and EMT's, we serve an unincorporated area of Fresno County in the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. This territory is surrounded on all sides by the Giant Sequoia National Monument and Sequoia National Forest. These public lands are administered by the US Forest Service.

We have a cooperative agreement with the Forest Service to provide "first due" response for wlidland and structure fire protection as well as emergency medical response.

We currently have a Type 1 engine, a Type 2 engine, a 2000 gallon water tender and a BLS rescue ambulance. All of our personnel are State Certified firefighters.
